Alagrow Zeolite Australia

Zeolite truly is the wonder mineral of this century with more and more emphasis being placed on sustainable environmentally friendly economic growth and a ‘green planet’. Zeolite has many traditional commercial applications in industry as well as new and innovative applications in nuclear and toxic waste clean-up, air pollution reduction, water purification and significant agricultural uses.

Alagrow Zeolite Pty Ltd is a privately owned company that holds the mining lease and EPM on the Drummond Zeolite Deposit, Australia’s and possibly the world’s, highest quality Zeolite deposit. The site is located approx. 100 km West of Emerald in Queensland. The deposit has a confirmed hardness of 6-6.5 on the Mohs scale of hardness (GAIA Expert Ltd Report). Most naturally forming zeolite has a hardness of between 2 and 4.5. Alagrow Zeolite’s effectiveness in the environment and clean-up sector is attributed to its hardness and purity.

The zeolite deposit is unique in that it is close to existing rail connection through to a large scale export port. The deposit is formed on fresh water so its applications for ph sensitive medicinal and agricultural uses are unrestricted and it’s hardness and low melting point make it ideal for nuclear and toxic waste encapsulation. Testing has indicated that the Alagrow Zeolite has a 50,000year half life for encapsulating and locking away the effects of radiation and nuclear contamination.

The Alagrow Zeolite deposit has been proven to be 2.3 million tonne with more drilling and testing needed. The expected deposit size is more in the order of 15 – 25 million tonne.
